Jimmy gets a new Suit

What makes you feel better than new clothes?  Apparently there are the "Big Four" companies for investment banking.  Jimmy has interviews with three of them.  Good time to invest in some clothing.

"Dave" was our salesman and he basically sells the suits.  After he's done someone else lays out some other stuff and frankly, he had not a bit of taste.  I guess people just buy whatever they put out for them.  We settled on two suits.  One is a three button and one is a two button.  They are perfect and after they were cut to fit, they look absolutely fabulous on him.  Jimmy wears clothes good.  I can't wait for him to start working for a big named firm.  He is ready to get out of the house.  School has been great but he gets straight A's so he's ready for the next challenge.  That's not to say that the classes are easy.  Lord knows he struggles with the material but he is not one to give up or weaken in adversity.  He just soaks it up, stokes the fire, and gets busy with it.

He also got a pair of Rockport shoes.  If you've never tried on a pair of Rockports, you owe it to yourself.  They really feel like tennis shoes when you wear them, totally unlike dress shoes.  We also got a nice shirt and two ties.

Jimmy didn't want the red tie I picked out for him.  He wanted pink.  Ack.  We got both.  Very expensive but I still have ties from twenty years ago so it's a good investment.

The next time we go to Thailand, we'll have a custom suit made for him.  The fabric choices were really special.  Not just what you find hanging on the rack.  I still remember the cold beer they served me as we looked through the silks.  They had a sucker and they knew it.  I have a nice suit anyway.  I can't wait to go back.
